No man is free who cannot command himself

I have life's purpose and wishes. Sometimes, I can control myself, and sometimes can't.

 

I think about when I can control myself. There is a word we should remember when we talk about controlling ourselves, there must be easy confidence that I can control myself.

 

You can gain much confidence from small practices:

• Tidy one's room
• Following the schedule
• Planning for the goal
  
  • to do this you must have trust in yourself first
  • as this leads to somewhere, this plan must show the goal can be achieved through this plan
• Sticking to the plan
  
  • There can be some degrees(often very much) of flaws and dissatisfaction in strictly following the plan.
  • That doesn't matter, the thing is balancing between following the plan and adjusting the plan in a practical way.
• Watch the result and fix it
• Make one's own principle dictionary
  
  • Make it simple yet thorough as much as possible.
  • Write down any principles that have a great impact on your life
  • Make sure principles don't contradict themselves.
  • Adjust yourself to the principles if you believe adjusting would really help you get through your life.

 

By controlling ourselves, we can master our life and would reduce many blunders and win our game of life.
